I bought an RAH Black Rock Shooter new in box(from Wish, probably not the best idea). I'm thinking of a refund because the boxes came completely crushed and now her gun is bent...
ANYWAY her black jacket has stained her skin, usually this wouldn't bother me as I'm not picky and they're quite invisible under her clothes, but there's one, big, giant blemish right on her chin. I think I'm sticking to Threezero from now on.
:(Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03628076427725975081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1574592750700958035.post-85576283050595742012012-11-28T19:03:55.992+11:002012-11-28T19:03:55.992+11:00Thanks very much! Sounds nasty. Glad it all worked out in the end, though!

When washing doll clothes, if I *really* have to clean something, I generally go with plain laundry soap and water and then I dry it out immediately with a towel and then a warm hairdryer so that no glues used in the clothes have any time to react with the water (just in case. You never know). It hasn't caused any disasters yet... *touch wood*
Sounds like the Oxiclean was effective too, though ^___^

Haha, I dust my figures with a white-bristled paintbrush. Obsessional much?Sparkey Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01659788878499245726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1574592750700958035.post-75539259515491000082012-11-28T09:14:05.772+11:002012-11-28T09:14:05.772+11:00Love your posts. Until I took him out of the box and got a closer look.

Parts of the armour had this horrible staining that required warm soapy water and a cotton bud. Worst of all, the loincloth was hideous. Greasy and dirty! No idea what he'd been doing with it. I decided to use Oxiclean (a detergent/stain remover). I weighed pros and cons and decided there'd be no bleeding of colours since it was only one colour anyway. However you're absolutely right about the washing powder. If well cared for, a figure should only ever need a light bit of dusting and at the most a bit of washing for fabrics. I'd avoid anything more than water on fabrics unless absolutely necessary.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
